Out of Louisville, Kentucky. Had a band called D Man and the Alleycats with his brother Chris that lasted until 2017. He currently plays solo.

Voted the best Blues guitarists in Austin, Texas for years, Tessmer was a childhood guitar prodigy out of Minnesota who went to Austin to play blues with the best and became better than anyone.
