Intex pools have been one of the great advances in backyard pools in the last 50 years. They are cheap ($200 to $400), easy to assemble, and sturdy. They give anyone with a backyard an opportunity to have a real pool that you can have years of fun in.
My brother-in-law who is a surgeon and has a house on the water in New Jersey with a built-in pool, would always marvel at my Intex pool and how cheap and good it was — we had a 16’x16′ pool. His built-in pool has cost him a fortune-and-a-half every year to maintain.
Intex Pools come in numerous sizes, and are sold in normal shopping stores like Target or Walmart. They come with their own filter system, and you can switch to a Salt Water filtration system as well.
Once you buy an Intex pool there is one important first step for you to do — level the ground where you will install the pool.
We created a video to show you how. We threw it up on our youtube channel a bunch of years ago, and as of this writing it has over 38,000 views. Yikes it has become one of the definitive sources of information on how to level your ground to install an Intex pool! 76 likes!
